Do not think, "Can someone like me become a child of God?" You can join the kingdom and priests of God today by believing in the covenant in Revelation.
Fostering a correct understanding of the Bible and Shinchonji
Words of Life
These articles were written by the Chairman of Shinchonji to bolster the faith of SCJ members and to help those unfamiliar with SCJ understand the truth.
Shinchonji is testifying about the long-awaited fulfillment of the New Testament prophecies.
Christians have been waiting for a long time in eager expectation for the fulfillment of the New Testament, but just like believers in the time of the first coming, no one clearly understood how God’s will would be fulfilled. Today’s Christians need no longer look forward to the fulfillment of the New Testament because the fulfillment has already come according to the Bible.
Only those who overcome can receive God’s inheritance.
Before discussing the topic of inheritance, we must understand God from God’s perspective. For the last 6,000 years, Satan has ruled over God’s creation. After conquering the world for himself, Satan will never willingly cede control to God.
In Mt 25, Jesus promised to gather believers to him at the time of the second coming. Among those are gathered to him, Jesus prophesied that some believers would be like sheep and some would be like goats. Jesus promised that the sheep-like believers would inherit the kingdom of heaven and that the goat-like believers be expelled from heaven and sentenced to an eternity of punishment in hell (Mt 25:31-46).
These words are a grave warning to those of us who believe.
The prophets in the time of the Old Testament and Jesus and his apostles in the New Testament were all called heretics, persecuted, and even killed by the religious leaders of their respective generations (Mt 5:10-12, Acts 7:51-53, Mt 23:30-31, Heb 11:35-39, Lk 20:9-15).
Revelation 22 describes God’s kingdom, the tree of life, the qualifications for entering the holy city, and the identity of those who remain outside the holy city. Those who are sealed by God and Jesus in Rv 14 (i.e., the twelve tribes) become the tree of life that bears twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. They will see the face of God and will reign with him forever and ever (Rv 22:1-4).
Revelation 21 is about the fulfillment of Mt 6:10. It describes the new heaven and new earth and how the holy city comes down out of heaven.
The first heaven and earth betray God and are destroyed (Rv 13, Rv 6). After the destruction of the first heaven and earth, the new heaven and earth are established as the twelve tribes are harvested and sealed by the revealed word (Rv 12, Rv 7, Rv 14). This group is also described as the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony in Rv 15.
We, as believers, have understood from the Bible, which is God’s word, that God created the heavens, the earth, and everything in them. He created the kingdom of heaven and has been working for its completion on earth as it is in heaven. Through the Bible we know about the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of hell. We know about the existence of eternal life and eternal punishment. We also know that just as sin and death entered the world through one man, Adam, resurrection from death and life come through another man, Jesus (1 Cor 15:21-22). This is why we live our lives of faith—so that we can enter the kingdom of heaven and receive eternal life.
Jesus said, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead,” (Mt 8:22). Who are these living and dead people about whom Jesus was speaking? There are dead people whose bodies are alive but whose spirits are dead and living people who have living spirits even though their bodies have died. The martyrs and the Jews at the time of Jesus’ first coming are a good example of this concept. Although the bodies of the martyrs died, their spirits continued to live. This is in contrast with the Jews at the time of the first coming who were alive in the flesh, but whose spirits were dead.
Who are the pastors of God and the pastors of Satan who appear at the time of the second coming? Where do they appear?
Revelation is a book that contains a consolidated version of all the prophecies of the New Testament (Rv 22:18-19). According to Rv 2-3, the work of the Lord’s second coming begins with the messengers who prepare the way—the seven lamps at the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands (i.e., the Tabernacle Temple).
The wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23, Jas 1:15), which means sin brought death into the world. Since that time, everyone dies in and through Adam. Since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes through another man in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (1 Cor 15:21-22).
The name Shinchonji means new heaven and new earth. The new heaven and earth are created after the first heaven and earth pass away. The first heaven and the new heaven both refer to God’s tabernacle, while the first earth and the new earth refer God’s chosen people (Gn 37:9-11).
Since Shinchonji Church of Jesus1 is God’s kingdom of priests and chosen people that has been created according to the promises in the New Testament (Rv 1:5–6), those who interfere with Shinchonji will be cursed. Jesus said that the days of the second coming would be like the days of Noah and the days of Lot (Lk 17:26–30). This means that people who read the Bible can know what will happen at the time of Jesus’ second coming if they know what happened at the time of Noah and the time of Lot.
God’s spirit is a holy spirit that knows God’s secrets. Men, too, have spirits that know the secrets of their hearts. Since God hid his secrets in parables (Mt 13), no one in heaven, on earth, or under the earth has been able to open or even look inside God’s sealed book (Rv 5:1-3). We can only know the truth if God decides to reveal it to us. There are many people who interpret the Bible using their own imaginations, despite the fact that God has never revealed his secrets to them. These people are liars who have received the spirit of the devil.
We are the people of God who have been chosen and gathered from among the nations. We are God's kingdom and priests and his multitude clothed in white (Rv 5:9-10; Rv 7:9-14). We are the kingdom of light, the city of truth. We are righteousness and justice. We are the twelve tribes of God's kingdom created today according to the Bible (Rv 7; Rv 14). This is why we must become the true light of the world and this is our appointed task.
The Bible helps us discern God from the devil and the pastors of God from the pastors of the devil.
Over the last 6,000 years of God’s work, there have been people who persecuted others and people who were persecuted (Mt 5:10–12). In every generation, those who persecute belong to the devil and those who are persecuted belong to God. God’s pastors love, forgive, and bless others, while the pastors who belong to the devil persecute, curse, lie, and create conflict. Thus, we can help discern who belongs to God and who belongs to the devil by their actions.
Who are the hired hands, the wolves, and the true shepherd at the time of the first and second comings?
John the Baptist was a man sent by God according to the promises in Mal 3 and 4 (Jn 1:6-8). John the Baptist was a messenger working as a lamp that prepared the way for Jesus (Jn 5:35, Rv 4:5). John’s father Zechariah was a priest working in the temple in Jerusalem (Lk 1). When Zechariah’s work came to an end, John followed in his father’s footsteps and was sent to the chosen people gathered around the temple in Jerusalem.
Matthew 24 begins with Jesus' disciples asking him about the destruction of the temple, about his return, and about the signs of the end of the age (v. 1-3). Jesus responds by telling them to be careful that no one leads them astray (v. 4). He says this because nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. Many will fall away, hand each other over to be killed, and there will be an increase of lawlessness in the time of the end (v. 7-12). In addition, it says this gospel (i.e.
Isaiah 29 mentions a vision that is nothing but words sealed in a scroll because no one understands its content. It says the prophets and seers cannot see because they are blind and their heads are covered. In such a state, their teachings are merely rules taught by men. This is why God said, "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men. Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder," (Is 29:13-14).
Reference: Rv 1:1-8 (The summary of the whole book of Revelation)
At Jesus’ first coming, he said, “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear,” (Jn 16:12). After he ascended to heaven, Jesus showed his disciple John visions of the future. John recorded his visions as the contents of the book of Revelation (Rv 1:1). Revelation 1:1-8 is a summary of what John saw.
The twelve tribes of Shinchonji—the 144,000 priests and the great multitude in white robes—are God’s promised kingdom and the citizens of heaven (Rv 7). We are the sons of God because we have been re-born with God’s seed (Jas 1:18, Rv 14:1-4). We are the ones who will inherit the promised land of God. We have united as one nation and one family with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the angels, and the spirits of the martyrs so we can live together forever (Rv 21).
Shinchonji is the only kingdom of the one and only true God and it is the place where heaven and earth have become one. Our religion is the form of Christianity created by the holy spirit and our temple is the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony that is promised in the New Testament (Rv 15). The New Testament also promises the twelve tribes of Shinchonji, which are God’s kingdom and priests and the people of heaven purchased by Jesus’ blood (Rv 1:5-6, Rv 5:9-10, Rv 7).
Jesus received the revelation of the sealed scroll of the Old Testament (Is 29:9-14, Hb 2:2-3, Ez 1-3) and told us that no one knows the father except the son and those to whom the son chooses to reveal him (Mt 11:27). He also said in Jn 17:3 that eternal life is knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom God sent. According to the scriptures, those who do not receive the revelation do not know God or his son Jesus, nor do they have eternal life. They are like beasts because they do not know God (Prv 30:2-4). In other words, there is no salvation without receiving revelation.
The world today is constantly in a state of bidding farewell. Heaven and earth are as everlasting as the angels in heaven, but the things of the world come and go like the flowers of the field (Ps 103:15). The world is constantly bidding farewell. The world is suffering from frustration, sorrow, mourning, pain, and death. Plants come but leave their seed behind; animals come but leave their seed behind. Isn’t the world always saying farewell? Wealth and power come and go like a dream.
As human beings, we have our five senses; we can perceive the outside world and we can think deeply about what we perceive. Some things in both the spiritual and physical worlds are genuine, but others are artificial. There are more lies, more confusion, and more temptation, in the spiritual world than the physical. People who deceive and people who are deceived do so because they are not standing on a firm foundation of truth.
The prophecies Jesus made in the New Testament roughly 2,000 years ago have been fulfilled today in the Republic of Korea. Revelation’s fulfillment has come and it is now the time of the second coming. Christians who meditate on the Bible must pay close attention to the testimony regarding the fulfillment of the New Testament prophecies if are to have any hope of attaining salvation.
God, who is the creator of heaven and earth, left this world due to the sin of man (Gn 6:1-3). God loved sinners, and so he gave his one and only son for them (Jn 3:16). Jesus sacrificed his life for sinners because it was God’s will (Mt 26:39, Mt 27). Both God and Jesus gave everything to save us from our sins because of their great love (Mt 1:21). Without this love, the problem of sin cannot be resolved. God chose to save his people rather than punish them. We were supposed to die because of our sins, but God’s great love has saved us from the punishment of death.
6,000 years of biblical history and the time of the millennium
According to Gn 2, Adam became a living being after God formed him from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. Adam and Eve sinned against God, and God was forced to banish them from the Garden of Eden (Gn 3). Adam and Eve’s descendants then passed down the story of their betrayal.
Jesus’ parable of the net employs the physical metaphors of the sea, ships, sailors, nets, and fish to figuratively explain unseen spiritual concepts. Jesus also gave us this and other parables to hide God’s secrets from people who belong to Satan (Mt 13:10-11; Mk 4:10-12).
When Jesus came 2,000 years ago, he spoke in parables to fulfill a prophecy in the Old Testament. When he spoke, he uttered things that had been hidden since the creation of the world (Ps 78:1-6; Mt 13:34-35).
What is the true meaning of the two trees in Gn 2:9?
What are the manna, the white stone, and the iron scepter (Rv 2) Jesus promised? In the Old Testament, Physical Israel came out from Egypt and went into the land of Canaan (Ex 12, Jo 1-8). While the people of Israel were in the desert before entering the promised land of Canaan, the people of Israel ate manna from heaven (Ex 16, Jo 5:6-12) and lived in tents (Ex 19:1-2).
The parable of the man sowing seed in Mt 13:24-30 is a figurative description of both what happened at the time of Jesus’ first coming and what will happen in the future. First, let’s take a look at what happened during the first coming of Jesus. Roughly 2,600 years ago, God came to Jeremiah and prophesied that he would someday plant the houses of Israel and Judah with the seed of man and beasts (Jer 31:27, KJV). Approximately 600 years later, this prophecy was fulfilled through Jesus (Jn 1:32, Mt 3:16).
The earth sits in an endless universe, and we can see one sun, one moon, and many stars in the sky. We can see clouds and feel the wind and the rain. The Bible figuratively compared the sun, moon and stars to the members of a family (Gn 37:9-10).
According to Gn 1:1, God created heaven and earth. Contrary to what most people think, God was not creating heaven and earth because they did not exist. Genesis is a promise regarding the re-creation of heaven and earth. What does this mean regarding the kind of heaven and earth God promised to create in Gn 1?
When the Bible mentions eternal life, we should understand clearly whether it is referring to physical or spiritual eternal life. The sun, moon, stars, winds, clouds, and rains are in the heavens, just as the spirits are in the spiritual world. Similarly, in the physical world, all sorts of living creatures, plants, and people fill the earth.
After he spoke about the signs of the end of age and his second coming in Mt 24, Jesus speaks about the wedding banquet. In Mt 25:1-13, Jesus explains that only those who are prepared will be able to participate in the wedding banquet. What must we do to be prepared? Jesus tells us that only those who prepare the lamp and the oil will be able to will be able to meet the bridegroom. So, what are the lamp and the oil?
The word revelation refers to the act of opening and showing the true nature of something that is hidden. Revelations from God come in two forms: revelation by vision and revelation by physical fulfillment. Prophecies are revelations by vision, but when their appointed time arrives, the fulfillment of those prophecies is also a form of revelation. In addition, each biblical era—the time of the Old Testament and the time of the New Testament—has its own revelation.
God fulfilled the promise he made with Abraham at the time of Moses (Gn 15; Ex 12) and the prophecies he made through the Old Testament prophets at the time of Jesus’ first coming (Lk 24:44; Jn 19:30). Ever since Jesus made the new covenant with his people, Christians have been looking forward to being able to drink the new wine with Jesus when God’s kingdom comes (Mt 26:26-29; Lk 22:14-20). At that time, only those who write God’s laws in their minds and on their hearts will be God’s true chosen people (Heb 8:10).
Why did God give us the Bible? What is it that he wants us to understand? God gave us the Bible so we can understand him and obey his will. God forbid us from building idols in the form of anything in heaven, on earth, or in the waters below and he forbid us from bowing down and worshiping gods of our own creation (Ex 20:3-5; Ex 34:14; Jo 23:7).
The one born of the earth speaks as one from the earth, but the one who comes from above speaks about what he has seen and heard in heaven. He speaks God’s words, and God gives him the holy spirit without limit (Jn 3:31-34).Those who belong to the world listen to the words of the world, but they do not listen to God’s words. Those who belong to God listen to God’s words. This is how we can discern the spirit of truth from the spirit of deception (1 Jn 4:5-6). Furthermore, since God is love, those who love belong to God, but those who do not love do not belong to God.
Unfortunately, there are groups of believers who persecute other believers simply because they maintain different doctrines or interpretations of the Bible. This is not biblical behavior. They persecute and attempt to exert religious authority out of greed and jealousy. Sometimes they persecute because the targets of their persecution know something the persecutors do not know. They also persecute out of fear that their lies, ignorance, and evil deeds will be exposed. Their envy and hate lead them to try and destroy others instead of repenting of their sins.
According to Genesis, God created the heavens and the earth in six days. Then, on the seventh day, God rested from all his work and blessed that day (Gn 1:1-2:3).
There are two types of creation: spiritual and physical. We must also consider the process of re-creation. The steps of spiritual creation and re-creation are as follows:
When it comes to the Bible, being dead can refer to two different things: a dead physical body or a dead spirit. Let’s understand how the dead died and how they resurrect.
There are many different kinds of seeds and trees in the world, as well as numerous species of birds. Yet spiritually speaking, there are only two categories. We should carefully consider the two kinds of spiritual seeds, trees, and birds because they hide deep spiritual truths.
Spiritual night comes when one religious generation comes to an end (1 Thes 5:1-3) and its pastors become spiritually blind and deaf (Is 42:18-19; Mt 23). That is when the true people of God are persecuted because of their righteousness (Mt 5:10-12; Mt 23:29-34; Jn 15:18-19).
1. Creation
The Bible records the history of God’s process of creation and recreation. God worked together with the spirits in heaven to create the heavens, the earth, and all things (Gn 1:1-2:3; Is 65:17; Is 66:22; 2 Pt 3:7-13; Rv 21).
Where is heaven and where is hell? Who belongs there? Why do people want to go heaven but not to hell? All religious people want to go to heaven but are afraid of going to hell.
The line between heresy and true religion today has been totally blurred. Truth has become relative and people are allowed to determine the standard that defines truth. Our standard as Christians should be the Bible, because the Bible shows us clearly that God is the author and leader of true religion. Religion itself should be rooted in the will of God. When we learn God’s will, we are learning to discern truth from lies—orthodoxy from heresy.
The Bible tells us God is the God of the living, not of the dead (Mk 12:27; Lk 20:38), and that those who have life receive it from God. Let us better understand what it means to be alive.
At the time of his first coming 2,000 years ago, Jesus said, “It is finished,” (Jn 19:30). What was it Jesus finished? If we understand correctly, he is referring to his work at the first coming, which was to fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament.
Jesus was the shelter of salvation promised in the Old Testament (Jn 5:39), but where is the shelter of salvation he promised in the New Testament? People can only be saved by knowing the savior promised in both the Old and New Testaments. What then is the requirement for knowing the promised savior? We can only know him by receiving the revelation of Jesus Christ (Mt 11:27, Jn 17:3). The revelation of Jesus Christ is given by the promised pastor (i.e., the one who overcomes) who serves Jesus and comes in his name (Jn 14:26, Rv 21:6-7, Rv 22:16).
What is religion? Who created it? Who is the founder of religion? Who speaks and who listens? Why is the word in the beginning referred to as the way?
1. What is religion?
Religion is the highest of all teachings. The characters used to write the word religion in Chinese have an interesting meaning: “Look to the sky to learn how to be dutiful to your heavenly father.”
Awhile ago, a man named Mr. Jin suggested to the Shinchonji Chairman Mr. Lee through a third party that he would like to organize a Bible debate with Mr. Lee. Mr. Lee quickly agreed to the meeting and sent in a list of conditions and suggested topics to the moderator. Mr. Jin also sent a document to the moderator, but, instead of discussing topics related to the Bible, Mr. Jin’s document was filled with personal attacks attacks against Mr. Lee. Mr. Jin said things in that document that a person who serves God could never say. In response, Mr.
The Bible says the end times will be just like the days of Jesus’ first coming and the days of Noah. Did these events take place world-wide or within particular nations and cities? Since God compares the end of the religious world to these specific times, where is the place of salvation in the end times?
The one and only true God created the heavens, the earth, and everything in the universe (Gn 1:1; Rom 1:20). God’s objective was to be served and glorified by his creation.
God created each generation of his chosen people by appointing a person, a pastor. Let’s discuss who carried out God’s work in each generation, where that work was conducted, and the objective of each generation.
Adam began his work in the Garden of Eden, which was in the east (Gn 2:8). Adam’s objective was to be fruitful, increase in number, subdue, and rule over the earth (Gn 1:28).
People today are considered lucky if they are able to spend 100 years in this world before being forced to say goodbye to their loved ones. The children of God, on the other hand, never have to say goodbye because they are born of God’s seed and live forever. Who is more precious? Those who refuse to believe this cannot call themselves true believers.
God and Jesus are the word and the truth (Jn 17:17; Jn 1:1-4; 1 Jn 1:1). First, let's examine the culture of heaven and the eternal truth of God’s word in the Bible.
There are many religions in this world: Buddhism, Confucianism, Christianity, Islam, etc. Christians can be divided into Catholics and Protestants, and Protestantism has splintered into many different denominations.
The Bible is full of figurative language. In the figurative language of the Bible, fields, houses, bowls, and oxen refer to people’s hearts (1 Cor 3:9; 1 Cor 3:16-17; Rom 9:23-24; 1 Cor 9:9-10).
The hope of believers today is salvation through the Lord's second coming and the fulfillment of the New Testament. All the evil spirits in the world gather at the place the New Testament is being fulfilled according to the Bible (1 Pt 5:8; 2 Thes 2:1-10; Rv 12; Rv 16; Rv 17; Rv 18) because they want to interfere with God's work (Rv 16:13-16).
Betrayal, in the context of scripture, means to reject God's word. The first betrayal occurred in the spiritual world when some of the angels, who were created by God, rebelled and sinned against him ( Is 14:12-14; Ez 28:11-16; 2 Pt 2:4; Jude 1:6; Rv 9:14 ).
Betrayal begins when a spirit of betrayal enters a person's heart. To better understand this, let's examine the account of a man named Shin, who betrayed Shinchonji Church of Jesus.
What is the trinity? Few people ever stop to ask whether or not the term trinity appears in the Bible. In traditional Christianity, the trinity refers to the concept that God is three beings in one. The Bible, however, never mentions the word trinity. The Bible speaks about the father, the son, and the holy spirit, but never refers to them as a single entity or unit. In fact, 1 Jn 5:7-8 says, “For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement,” (NIV). These three may be united, but they are not a single entity.
True religion was created by God, who also created the universe and everything in it. The same God wrote the Bible to communicate these things to people. God created religion and the Bible so people could distinguish him from the devil. Believers who fail distinguish God from Satan do so because they do not understand the Bible, and their ignorance will ultimately lead to their destruction (Hos 4:6; Hos 6:6).
The offspring of God (Acts 17:29) are the children of God, but it is important to note which god we are considering. There are actually two gods: God the creator, and the devil, an angel who betrayed his creator (Is 14:12-15; Jude 1:6; 2 Pt 2:4). God’s offspring are born of the seed of God, and the devil’s offspring are born of the seed of the devil. The seed you receive determines to whom you belong (Mt 13).
God gave the Old Testament law through Moses to the Physical Israelites so they would keep it (Jn 1:17). God gave a new faith through Jesus to the Spiritual Israelites so they would believe (Jn 1:12-13; Heb 12:2). Jesus did not come to abolish the law and prophets but to fulfill them (Mt 5:17). This is why Heb 10 says, “The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves.” Heb 10 also mentions how the old sacrifices could not really cleanse people of their sins.
The Chinese characters that make up the word for religion mean highest teaching. This religion was created by the creator—he wrote his will into the scriptures. If this idea of religion is the will of the one and only creator, religious people should all be united under one religion. Religious people, however, cannot seem to unite as one. Why do religious people fight with one another? They fight because they have spirits that prevent unification. God is aware of this and created the scriptures to help his creation see and understand the truth.
In whom do christians believe? What are God’s kingdom and righteousness?
Christians believe in God. God’s kingdom is the kingdom of heaven, and God’s righteousness is God’s will. God wants his kingdom and his righteousness to come and be done on earth as they are done in heaven (Mt 6:10). The holy city New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven from God (Jn 14:3; Rv 4:8; Rv 21:1-3; Rv 3:12), and God will be with it forever. God’s kingdom and righteousness, therefore, are the establishment of this holy city and nation on earth.
Believers use words like orthodoxy, heresy, traditions, and cults to label the kind of teachings others receive and the manner in which they carry out their lives of faith. Before applying such labels, wouldn’t it be wise to ask ourselves what these words really mean? Orthodoxy1 is the adherence to the correct opinion. An orthodox opinion in matters of religion can only be received via a direct revelation from God.
The revelation that John saw, heard, and recorded is the revelation of Jesus Christ (Rv 1:1). Anyone who learns this revelation of Jesus is not learning from mere men; he is learning from Jesus and the angels coming in his name (Jn 14:26; Rv 10). This revelation contains prophecies and their fulfillment (Jn 14:29; Rv 21:6). The prophecies record the events of betrayal, destruction, and salvation (2 Thes 2:1-3). The fulfillment of Revelation includes battles and the handing down of judgment (Rv 13; Rv 12).
To Jesus who has loved us, chosen us, freed us from our sins, and made us the eternal kingdom and priests that serve his father God—to him let us give thanks forever and ever!
The 66 books of the Bible, which are divided into the Old and New Testaments, contain four types of content: history (1 Cor 10:11), instructions (2 Ti 3:16), prophecies (Jn 14:29), and fulfillment (Jer 33:2; Jn 19:30). The Bible is God’s book and it contains his will (2 Ti 3:16).
In every generation God chooses one person as his promised pastor. That person must speak on behalf of God and obey the commands he is given. The Bible refers to this person speaking on behalf as the Counselor. This is what 1 Jn 2:1 means when it mentions “one who speaks in our defense.” This Counselor is both spiritual and physical—spirit and flesh. The spiritual Counselor (i.e. the Holy Spirit of truth) speaks God’s words on God’s behalf. The pastor chosen by God receives these words from the Spirit of the Counselor and speaks them to believers on behalf of God.
Over the past 2,000 years of their existence, the churches of Spiritual Israel (i.e. Christianity) have slowly become churches of the world (Rv 18:2-3). There is no one in the churches of the world who knows God, Jesus, and the advocate—the promised pastor. This world has become as dark as night because the sun, moon, and stars have fallen (Mt 24:29; Rv 6:12-14). Churches have become possessions of the world without even realizing it. Pastors and their congregation members claim to have received salvation and the holy spirit; they claim to be orthodox, but these claims are lies.
As believers, our objective is not to gain power, wealth, or authority. The objective of our faith is to go to heaven. Heaven is a paradise without death or pain (Rv 21:1-4). Where is heaven, and what must we do to get there?
Who is the one who overcomes from the Christian point of view? First, let’s find out about what it means to overcome. Against whom does the one who overcomes fight?
Overcoming is winning a fight to the death. The one who overcomes fights death itself—he fights the authority death has over people, which means he fights and overcomes the devil (Eph 6:10-17)
At the first coming, Jesus spoke about the secret of the seed in Mt 13. He used figurative language when he talked about the secrets of the kingdom of heaven (Mk 4:10-11). He also warned us not to add or subtract anything from the book of Revelation (Rv 22:18-19).
The root of true religion is God, which means Christianity has its roots in the time of Adam. If we understand this, then Christianity has a 6,000 year history and can be considered the world’s oldest religion. The great number of arguments and incidents that have occurred over this long history indicates that both the true God and many false gods have been working and fighting one another within Christianity. These incidents have occurred because the false gods were working to interfere with God’s will (2 Thes 2:4), which is in the future of Christianity.
The eastern prophets Siddhartha and Confucius both described a shelter of salvation that would be a place of victory by way of a cross (궁을지간십승지). Where is the shelter of salvation described by Jesus? When does it appear?
The scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35) and they tell us that the spirit of the Counselor comes to convict the world of guilt in regard to sin, righteousness, and judgment (Jn 16:8-11). Regarding sin, he will convict the world for not believing in Jesus and his words. Since Jesus spoke the truth, we know the prophecies he made in the New Testament will all be fulfilled (Jn 14:29). More specifically, Jesus prophesied about people who would persecute, measure, criticize, curse, betray, lie, and murder (Mt 7:1-5; Jn 8:44; 2 Thes 2:2-3).
Recently, the pastors of Gwacheon, South Korea are growing increasingly alarmed because they have heard rumors that Gwacheon will become a holy place. Since Gwacheon has long been a smaller town on the way to the bigger city of Seoul, an old Korean saying goes, “Seoul is a scary place for people from the countryside. They should learn to crawl in Gwacheon before they even think of walking into Seoul.” Sometimes people can get all worked up over something before they even experience it for themselves.
Let us discuss cults and the end of each generation within over the 6,000 years of biblical history. If we compare Adam to Noah, Adam was the corrupt, worn-out tradition and Noah was considered orthodox. Adam’s world, which had been considered orthodox, became a cult, and Noah’s world was the new orthodoxy. Adam became a possession of Satan, but Noah belonged to God. Later, however, Noah’s sons Canaan and Ham became heretics just like Adam. At that time, Moses was appointed as the new orthodoxy. Canaan became a possession of Satan, but Moses belonged to God.
MBC’s PD Note aired a biased program concerning Shinchonji Church of Jesus (SCJ). Was it premeditated or was it a simple mistake? Did they do so against their will? We consider them guilty because of their biased attitude toward us and their defense of conversion education. It would not be surprising if MBC aired the biased program about SCJ with the hope of increasing its viewer ratings. Not only did MBC ignore the truth about SCJ, its leaders actively fabricated details and presented their lies in such a way that made SCJ seem guilty.
An innocent young man named Hee was chosen by heaven one day. He wrote an oath in his own blood promising to be faithful to heaven. It was then that he began to suffer. It was a rough and narrow path that he had to walk (Rv 11). God compensated him for his suffering by revealing to Hee the word of truth (Rv 10). Ever since he received it, Hee has had to live with and within the word. He has walked in accordance with every command of the word. The word Hee received allowed him to understand sin, faith, and salvation. Sin is not believing in God. Faith is the promise of the Lord.
Salvation is for sinners, not for the righteous. The expression, “salvation for the righteous,” is incorrect.
People who call Shinchonji Church of Jesus (SCJ) a cult are speaking nonsense just like John Calvin. It is so disconcerting when they use the expression, “salvation for the righteous.” They sound as arrogant as the devil. Jesus said, “Those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. Go and learn what this saying means: ‘I want mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners,” (Mt 9:12-13).
If the process of revealing God’s theology were like the life of a student, Adam’s generation would be kindergarten, Noah’s generation would be elementary school, Moses generation would be middle school, Jesus’ first coming would be high school, and Jesus’ second coming (the time of Revelation) would be university.
Today is the end of the religious world and the time of Revelation's fulfillment. What has happened over the course of Christian history and what is happening today?
The Bible shows us that people in every generation persecuted and killed those sent by God—the prophets in the Old Testament as well as Jesus and his apostles at the time of the first coming—instead of accepting their testimonies (Mt 23:34-35; Acts 7:51-60). Why did they refuse to receive those sent by God and why did they kill them? God comes to and works through the one person God chooses and sends. The chief priests and elders at the time of the first coming were eagerly awaiting God’s arrival.
There are two kinds of temples: spiritual and physical. Physical temples are buildings made of physical materials, but spiritual temples are houses made of the word (1 Cor 3:9, 16-17). Just as physical houses are built from physical blueprints, spiritual houses are built from spiritual blueprints—the Bible.
Jesus and his disciples spoke consistently that a savior comes and carries out the work of salvation after God’s chosen people betray and they are destroyed by destroyers as a result of their betrayal (2 Thes 2:1-12).
They also said that after the subjects (the chosen people) of the kingdom are thrown out just like Adam, those who gather from the North, south, east, and west and participate in the wedding banquet attain salvation (Mt 8:11-12; Lk 13:28-30).
Jesus said that many people will come in his name to deceive others (Mt 24:5). They will not hesitate to persecute and even kill people who disagree with them (Jn 16:2-4). Who acts in this way?
The Old Testament describes many wars between the chosen people and various gentile nations. Since the time of the New Testament, however, the wars have been about religious persecution and ecclesiastical authority. The chosen people have become gentiles because they betrayed God and persecuted God’s chosen pastor and God’s true saints. This is prophesied in the New Testament.
The end of the age refers to the end of Christianity. It is also the time of the Lord’s second coming. The signs of the end of the age and of the second coming include the betrayal of God’s chosen people, the destruction of the chosen people by gentiles, and salvation (2 Thes 2:1-3). These signs take place in this order. This is when the roles played by churches and their pastors, the authority of the elders, and the prophecies come to an end. The world of the first (or former) heaven comes to an end, and the world of the second heaven begins (Is 65:17-18; Mt 24:29-31).
The names of churches, people, and places in the New Testament prophecies are either figurative or literal. The names of people and places in the prophecies often make figurative reference to the Old Testament. Church names come either from God or from men. There are two kinds of temples: spiritual and physical. A spiritual temple is the temple of a person’s heart (Eph 2:20-22; 1 Cor 3:16), and a physical temple is a physical building where people, who are themselves spiritual temples, gather to worship.
The Bible contains history, instructions, prophecy, and fulfillment. Of these, prophecy and fulfillment are occur in the logical order of betrayal, destruction, and salvation (2 Thes 2:1-3). Our hope is in the promised fulfillment of the prophecies—we pray for and eagerly await this fulfillment.
People who are persecuted will be rewarded in heaven, but their persecutors will be eternally punished in the fiery furnace of hell. The words of the Bible act as a testimony that determines who is rewarded and who is punished (Mt 5:10-12; Acts 7:51-53; Jn 15:18-23).
The end of the age mentioned in the Bible does not refer to the end of the universe, the end of the earth, or even the end of humanity. It does, however, refer to the end of a generation of believers. There are even Buddhist and Confucian prophecies that point to the place of salvation being the cross of Christ. The Bible, too, points to the cross as both the place of salvation and the place where the work of overcoming is accomplished. Thus, all religious people—even Buddhists and Confucianists—must come to the cross of Christ, just as their teachers foretold.
Although God created Adam and his generation, as soon as Adam's world sinned, God judged them with the flood. God found Noah in the midst of Adam's corrupt generation and tried to realize his will through Noah's generation (Gn 6:9-17). When Ham and Canaan, who were Noah's descendants, sinned (Gn 9:18-27), God made a promise with Abraham and began to fulfill that promise through Moses four generations later (Ex 3, 12). God judged Canaan and his descendants and put Moses in charge over the nation of Israel. God gave Moses the law (Ex 20) so Moses could lead them effectively.
Who is the pastor promised in the New Testament? Where is the destination believers must reach?
First, let us learn about the pastor promised in the New Testament. The pastor promised in the New Testament is the one who fights and overcomes Satan’s false pastors who rule the spiritual nation of Babylon (Rv 2, 3, and 12). He is also the one who receives and testifies the word of revelation (Rv 10).
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son to save it; Jesus the son gave up his life out of love for his friends (Mt 20:23; Jn 3:16; Jn 10:11; Jn 15:13-14). Apostle Paul said that of faith, hope, and love, love is the greatest (1 Cor 13:13). According to the Bible, a man who says he loves God but hates one of the brothers in faith is a liar (1 Jn 4:20). Jesus said that liars belong to the devil (Jn 8:44).
God is the one and only God (Jn 17:3). He is the creator of heaven and earth and the source of all blessings (Gn 1:1; Rom 1:20). What is the evidence for believing in God?
God is the founder of religion and the author of the scriptures (i.e. the Bible). Christians must carry out their lives of faith based on the scriptures. Living people have neither been to heaven, nor have they seen God. We believe in both heaven and God, however, because of the scriptures and because of the spiritual path that has been passed down to us.
Those who believe in Jesus believe in God’s word. Those who persecute others do so because spirits of persecution have entered them. Those who speak the word of God do so because the spirit of the word—the spirit of God—has entered them (Jn 3:31-34, Jn 14:23-24; 1 Jn 4:1-6).
The wealth that made Babylon's people rich is mentioned in Rv 18:12-13. This wealth symbolizes Babylon's organization and doctrines. The kingdom of Babylon and all its goods are not literal; they are figurative. Anyone who interprets them literally belongs to the earth and speaks from the viewpoint of the earth. Those who belong to heaven, however, speak from the viewpoint of heaven.
The fallen nations represent the world’s churches, and the wine of adultery represents the doctrines of Satan. The wrath1 refers to God’s anger. The wine is called the maddening wine and the wine of wrath to reveal that God is angry because Satan’s doctrines have caused all nations to fall.
Shinchonji Church of Jesus is the only truly orthodox group in the world. Those who claim that Shinchonji Church of Jesus is a cult are actually heretics themselves like the people at the time of Jesus' first coming who called Jesus a heretic.
The Bible contains history, instructions, prophecies, and prophetic fulfillment.
The Bible also mentions different types of pastors and different denominations. General pastors teach history, which includes the fulfillment of old prophecies. Pastors of prophecy prophesy what they have seen and heard about the future. Promised pastors testify about what they have seen and heard regarding the fulfillment of prophecies.
It was the pastors of that time who killed the prophets of the Old Testament (Mt 23:34-35; Acts 7:52). It was also the pastors and elders who killed Jesus and his disciples in the time of the New Testament (Mt 27:1-2; Mk 15:1-3). In other words, the people who murdered those sent by God were never nonbelievers.
The purpose of our lives of faith is the kingdom of heaven and eternal life. God reigns in the kingdom of heaven and is the only one who can give eternal life. True religion and the Bible leads to the kingdom of God and eternal life. God is the Lord of true religion and the kingdom of heaven. Eternal life is of God.
People read and believe in God’s book, in which God has written his will. Many people, however, are ignorant of the scriptures and of God’s will (Mt 22:29). These people act according to their own will (Rom 10:2-3).
What is the true path and who is the true teacher for our lives of faith? Although there is only one place of God, the Bible, and of hope, the world has splintered into thousands of paths. There are thousands of denominations and pastors in the world. of all these denominations, where should we go to find the true path? Of all these pastors, to whom should we go to find the true teacher? Whose command should we receive to build true faith?
Countless people have come and gone from this world over the past 6,000 years of biblical history, and all of them have performed countless actions. Where have all their actions been recorded? Did God record every single move these countless people made while they were alive? Is it possible for God to judge their actions as right or wrong without some kind of record?
Ever since Adam betrayed God (Gn 3; Gn 6; Hos 6:7), God has tried in every generation to reestablish his kingdom (heaven) on earth. In the beginning of each generation, God selected a righteous person from the previous generation and appointed him as his new pastor. After appointing his chosen pastor, God always made a covenant with him so that the chosen pastor could carry out God’s work.
Which of these two churches is a cult? Which of them is carried along by the holy spirit and which by demons? The entire Bible acts as the standard that answers these questions (Jn 12:48; Rv 20:12).
Catholicism, which itself emerged from Judaism, long ago concluded that Calvin and his followers should be considered a cult (please refer to any encyclopedia). Why did the Catholics consider the Calvinists a cult?
What should we believe and what actions should we have? Does a person have real faith just by claiming to believe in Jesus? Does a person have proper actions just by acting according to his or her own thoughts?
Humanity has been under sin since the fall of Adam and Eve (Gn 3). This is why God sent us a savior (Jn 1:29; Jn 3:16-17).
At the time of the first coming, John the Baptist and our savior Jesus came to this sinful world as promised in the Bible. The first message they proclaimed was “Repent, the kingdom of heaven is near,” (Mt 3:1-2; Mt 4:17). Repentance is confessing your sins and asking for forgiveness. When they mentioned the kingdom of heaven, they were referring to the spirits in God’s kingdom.
Adam was created by God (Gn 1:26-27; Gn 2:7). Noah was chosen by God (Gn 6:8-9). Abraham was chosen by God (Gn 12:1). Moses was chosen by God (Ex 3:4-10). Jesus, too, was chosen by God (Lk 9:35).
Apostle John, a servant at the time the prophecies are fulfilled, has been chosen by Jesus (Rv 1:17). If he keeps the covenant and overcomes according to prophecy, Apostle John sits with Jesus on his throne (Rv 3:21). Apostle John also becomes the son who inherits everything (Rv 21:7).
The Garden of Eden in Gn 2 symbolizes an organization (Is 2:2-3). All the different kinds of trees represent different people within that organization, and the two trees in the middle of the garden represent the physical embodiment of the holy spirit and the evil spirit, respectively. The fruit of each tree represent the words of each spirit (Jas 1:18). The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was good but became evil. He was one of the four archangels or living creatures, but he betrayed God when he wanted to become like God (Ez 28:1-7).
True religion was created by the one and only God. There are two types of spirits (gods) in the world: holy spirits and evil spirits. Both kinds of spirits enter people and work through them. When different types of spirits enter two groups of people, the groups fight against each other (Jn 8). How can we distinguish people whom holy spirits have entered and people whom evil spirits have entered? This is a problem we must solve.
There are many churches in this world, but only one church of God. How are the churches of the world and the church of God different?
Studying at and being ordained by a man-made school of theology does not make you a pastor of God. Building a church and putting up a sign that says “Christian” on it does not make it God’s church. Not everyone who speaks from a pulpit is God’s pastor.
There are laws in heaven and on earth. The laws of heaven were created by God, but the laws of the world were created by the people of the earth. The laws of heaven are recorded in the 66 books of the Bible, but the laws of the world are recorded in law books. There are judges that pass judgment according to the laws of heaven and judges that pass judgment according to the the laws of the world. The judge of heaven is the one who has mastered the laws of heaven, which are the 66 books of the Bible.
God, the one and only creator of heaven and earth, also created true religion. True religion was not created by philosophers or through endless studies. Since the main point of religion is eternal life, religion without eternal life is meaningless. Is this eternal life referring to life for our physical bodies or for our spirits?
God created all things in heaven and on earth; he formed men and women in his image and likeness (Gn 1:1, 26-27). People who are created in God’s image, must also be gods.
In each generation, God chose people to write his words on his behalf. The book that contains these words of God is the Bible. It was God’s intention to have his prophecies that would be fulfilled in the future concealed in figurative language—sealed with seven seals—so that no one would understand the prophecies until the time appointed for their fulfillment had arrived (Is 29:9-14; Hos 12:10; Mt 13:10-11; Rv 5:1-3).
Every time a generation became corrupt, God chose one person to prophesy about future events. Those chosen by God became his prophets; they spoke and wrote on God’s behalf. People believed in these prophets themselves, but they refused to believe in the words they wrote on behalf of God. Since a significant portion of God’s word is written in figurative language (Hos 12:10; Mt 13:10-11; Rv 5:1), no one can understand God's word until the scriptures are opened.
God and Jesus gave us commands to keep when they came into the world. Any actions that go against the commands God and Jesus gave are actions that originate with the devil.
° Serve others and love your neighbor as yourself (Mt 22:37-39).
° Forgive others their sins and bless them (Mt 6:14-15; Mt 18:21-35; Rom 12:14).
° Rejoice and be glad when you are persecuted (Mt 5:10-12).
True religion was created by the one and only God. In every generation, he chose one person to write and convey his words on his behalf. The Bible, the divine book of God, was recorded by people whom God chose. Although the Bible was spoken and written down by people, God is still the source of the words, the one and only author of the Bible, and the founder of true religion (2 Tm 3:16; Gal 1:11-12; 2 Pt 1:21; Rv 1:10-11). No person can claim to be the founder of religion nor can anyone claim to be the author of the Bible. People can only write and speak on behalf of God.
Is SCJ Church of Jesus really a cult? Is it a cult from God’s point of view or is it a cult from the point of view of men? We should confirm whether or not SCJ is a cult using the Bible as our standard. Let’s discover the correct answer.
Ref.: Rv 15:5; Rv 13:6; Heb 9:1-10; Ex 25:8-9, 22; Acts 7:44-45
The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony is the place for all nations to come and worship. This is the temple where the witnesses who have seen and heard all the events of Revelation (including the events of Rv 13) at the location they took place have gathered. After overcoming the beast in Rv 12, these witnesses have gathered before the sea of glass and the throne of God, according to the promises in Rv 2 and 3.
The sealed scroll contains prophecies that will be fulfilled in the end times of the given generation (Hb 2:2-3). Prophecies are given to people so that they might believe in the physical fulfillment of the prophecies when it arrives (Jn 14:29). Both the Old Testament (Is 29:9-14) and New Testament (Rv 5) are sealed. The sealed scroll in the Old Testament represented the prophecies that had to be fulfilled at Jesus’ first coming (Jn 19:30), and the sealed scroll in the New Testament represents the prophecies that have to be fulfilled at Jesus’ second coming (Rv 21:6).
There are two kinds of trees in Gn 2: the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil each represent people or pastors. The tree of life that appears in Gn 2 and Rv 22 each point to the same entity.
The tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil are located in the middle of the Garden of Eden (Gn 2:9). Revelation 22:2, however, only mentions the tree of life.
As the prologue to Revelation, Rv 1:1-8 is a highly condensed summary of all the chapters of Revelation. Before we discuss Rv 1:7, we should remind ourselves that Rv 1:7 is also part of that summary.
The fact that Jesus returns with the clouds means that he is coming in spirit. Clouds are capable of hiding things from view. In Acts 1:9-11, Jesus’ disciples were staring into the sky after Jesus’ ascension, and a cloud hid Jesus from their sight.
Apostle John recorded Rv 1:1-8 as a summary of Revelation after he saw and heard the events of all the chapters of Revelation. Since Rv 1:3 is part of this summary of Revelation, the three entities mentioned in the title of this article—the one who reads, those who hear, and those who obey (Rv 1:3)—can be found elsewhere in Revelation. Anyone who desires the correct answer to the question in the title should ask Jesus, Apostle John, or the pastor in the position of Apostle John who ate the open book of Revelation in Rv 10 in reality.

People who lived in Adam’s time were able to live for almost 1,000 years (Gn 5). Now that roughly 6,000 years have passed, modern people are lucky to live over 80 years. Why has human life-expectancy fallen so dramatically?
Who persecuted and murdered God’s prophets, Jesus, and his disciples? How will the situation be different at the time of Revelation’s fulfillment?
In each and every generation, God chose and sent his messengers to his people to speak on his behalf. Unfortunately, the pastors and elders of each generation persecuted and murdered God’s prophets. They carried out this wicked work of persecution because they themselves had become corrupt—because they belonged to the devil.

The new heaven represents God’s new tabernacle. The new earth represents the people of heaven who are born again. The first heaven, first earth, and sea, that disappear and cease to exist symbolize the tabernacle, its betraying congregation members, and the beasts respectively (Rv 13).

The books before the throne in Rv 20:12 include the 66 books of the Bible and the registry of the church where God, Jesus, heaven, and the one who overcomes are. This church registry is the book of life where the names of those who have been sealed and have become the people of heaven are recorded.
The true identity of Satan is revealed from Rv 1-13, and Satan’s group is judged from Rv 16-19.
After God’s work is finished in Rv 17, 18, and 19, Satan is captured and locked in the abyss. Then those who were beheaded by the dragon (i.e. the souls of the martyrs) and will unite as one with us (those who are both physically and spiritually alive) and will live with Christ for 1,000 years.
God made a covenant with his people in every generation through his chosen pastor.
After creating Adam roughly 6,000 years ago, God made a covenant with Adam. The covenant concerned the fruit of the tree of life and the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gn 2:9, 17; Gn 3:22).
Approximately 2,600 years ago, God came to Jeremiah and prophesied through him about sowing two kinds of seed in the houses of Israel and Judah (Jer 31:27). What do these two kinds of seed represent?
Where is Armageddon? What kind of battle is the battle in Rv 16:13-16? Who fights against whom? Why must this battle be fought? (Lam 1:21-22; Rv 6; Rv 18)
Our present life is the physical life we are living here on Earth, and the afterlife refers to people’s spiritual lives in the spiritual world after they die. At the time of Revelation’s fulfillment, however, the spiritual world descends upon and unites with the physical world (Rv 21).
When people die they go to the spiritual world. The spiritual world, however, is divided into two parts: heaven and hell. Heaven is the the world of God, the source of all creation (Ez 1, 10; Rv 4). Hell is the world of the spirits who sinned against God (Is 14:12-15; Ez 28; 2 Pt 2:4).
Just as God was faithful in fulfilling the prophecies he made in the Old Testament (Jn 19:30), he will also be faithful in fulfilling the prophecies he made in the New Testament (Mt 26:26-29; Lk 22:16-20; Rv 21:6). The book of Revelation summarizes all the other prophecies spoken throughout the New Testament. Revelation’s fulfillment begins with the appearance of the seven messengers of the seven lampstands (Rv 1:19-20). In addition, the time of Revelation brings the events of betrayal, destruction, and salvation.
In Rv 11, the temple in heaven is not referring to the same temple of heaven mentioned in Rv 13:6, which was established in the physical world. It is referring to the promised temple upon which the temple of God in the spiritual world descends. The great hailstorm in the temple symbolizes a pastor in whom God’s word of wrath is stored (Is 28:2).
What do the white horse, red horse, black horse, and pale horse signify in Rv 6:1-8 (and Zec 1:6)? What are the riders and the objects they are carrying: the bow, the sword, and the scales? When and where is Rv 6 fulfilled? What kind of event is this passage describing?
The sealed scroll (i.e. the book of Revelation) is a book of prophecies that will be fulfilled at the end of a generation (Hb 2:2-3).
Both the Old (Is 29:9-14) and New Testaments (Rv 5) make references to a sealed scroll. The sealed scroll in the Old Testament was fulfilled at Jesus’ first coming (Jn 19:30), but the sealed scroll in the New Testament is fulfilled at Jesus’ second coming (Rv 21:6).
What is the tree of life and what is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? What do their branches, leaves, and fruit represent? What about the birds that come and perch in each tree?
If you want to be a part of the twelve tribes of Shinchonji Church of Jesus (SCJ)—God’s kingdom here on Earth—you must be born again by sealing the revealed word of the New Testament in your mind and in your hearts (Jas 1:18, Rv 7:3-4). First, you must be evangelized with the revealed word and must carefully study the Bible. This step, the elementary level, is compared to drinking milk in Heb 5:13. When you are qualified, you will be given an interview at one of our mission centers.
The founder of Shinchonji Church of Jesus (SCJ) is Jesus, but the founder of Calvin’s Presbyterian Church is Calvin. Jesus’ teaching is the word of revelation, but Calvin’s main doctrine of pre-destination is a prime example of the teachings of men and of their biblical commentaries.
Since God created religion, the founder of religion is God, not people. God used the hands of a few people to record his teachings in his book (i.e. the Bible). Thus, the Bible is divine scripture (2 Tm 3:16; 2 Pt 1:21). What was God’s purpose behind giving this divine scripture to people? Hosea 6:6 says, “For I delight in faithfulness, not simply in sacrifice; I delight in acknowledging God, not simply in whole burnt offerings.” Hence, God’s purpose in giving us the Bible was for us to know him, the only true God, by looking at his book.
The Lord Jesus said in Mt 11:27, “All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the son and anyone to whom the son decides to reveal him.” He is saying that only the one who receives the revelation is able to know the Father. He also stated in Jn 17:3, “Now this is eternal life – that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent.”
To all the members of Shinchonji Church of Jesus around the world and to all the souls of the martyrs! Let us appeal to God regarding the false charges leveled against us. MBC PD Note broadcast lies about Shinchonji Church of Jesus.
MBC PD Note broadcast their false program twice: once on May 8, 2007 and again on December 25, 2007. Their show, which was entitled "Shinchonji's suspicious mysteries," concluded that Shinchonji is a cult. They attempted to sabotage Shinchonji, which is God's kingdom of righteousness, by broadcasting false information.
Mrs. Kim was beaten to death by her ex-husband, Mr. Seo, for refusing to convert to the Presbyterian Church of Calvin. She was murdered in her home on October 7, 2007 in Ulsan, South Korea.
The founder of the Presbyterian Church is Calvin, but the founder of the Church of Jesus is Jesus. Please judge for yourself who are the true heretics that interpret the scriptures on their own.
Roughly 3,500 years ago, a man named Moses appeared in Egypt (Ex 2). Many people followed him because God was with Moses (Ex 3). Those who followed Moses were all believers. Moses was harshly persecuted by the Egyptians and by gentiles from other nations who did not believe in God (Ex 7; Ex 17). Roughly 2,000 years ago, a man named Jesus appeared in the nation of Israel (Mt 1). Many people followed Jesus because God was with him (Mt 3; Mt 21). This is why Jesus was intensely persecuted by many Israelites (Mt 27; Jn 8). Another 2,000 years have passed since that time.
Why is Shinchonji Church of Jesus (SCJ) considered by so many to be a cult? Who is it that has passed such judgment on SCJ? Is it a group of people or is it the the holy spirit that has determined that SCJ is a cult? What acts as a standard to distinguish cults?
Who teaches the revealed word and who teaches commentaries? How are they different from one another?
Apostle Paul abandoned the law and the knowledge of the world to preach the visions and revelation of Jesus (2 Cor 12:1; Gal 1:8-12). God opens his sealed scroll at the appointed time and gives it to his chosen pastor so that he can eat it. When he receives the revealed scroll from God and the command of where to go with that word, the chosen pastor preaches the revealed word to the people.

Religion is the will of God, and God is the source of religion. We must live spiritual lives by receiving God’s teachings, believing in them, and acting upon them. Because religion is the teaching of God, not of the world, it is superior to all other teachings. Those who are inspired by the holy spirit and who have ears to hear will hear the words of the spirit.
Whoever people claim is the founder of their church must also be the head of their church. Calling a church the Church of Jesus implies that Jesus is the founder and head of that particular church. Just as a doorplate reveals who lives in the house above which it hangs, a church’s or denomination’s name reveals the identity of its founder. Who, then, is the founder of the Presbyterian Church?
The covenants in the Bible were made between God and his people – between spirit and flesh (Ex 19:3-6). A covenant or promise can only be kept flawlessly when both parties to the covenant uphold their responsibilities. God made a covenant with Adam and Eve in Gen 2 commanding them not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God created them and made a covenant with them, but Adam and Eve were cursed for breaking their covenant. Noah's world was put to an end in the time of Joshua because Ham and Canaan failed to keep their covenant with God.
In Is 56:9-11, God told beasts of the fields and forests to come and devour Israel's mute dogs. These mute dogs symbolize pastors who, because they lack knowledge and understanding of the word – because they are spiritually blind – are not fulfilling their duties. Because they are incompetent, these pastors are symbolized by mute dogs that cannot protect God's lambs from being devoured by wild beasts.
The following was written to promote proper knowledge of the word and a proper life of faith for all believers.
The Bible contains both prophecies and their fulfillment (Jn 14:29). The prophecies can be divided into three logical steps: betrayal, destruction, and salvation (2 Thess 2:1-3). How are antichrists different from destroyers?
The following was written to promote proper knowledge of the word and a proper life of faith for all believers.
What is a cult? Who decides what is and what is not a cult? The answers lie with God, the Bible and the promised pastor to whom God gives the authority to judge (Jn 5:22; Rev 2:17).
The following was written to promote proper knowledge of the word and a proper life of faith for all believers.
Religion is the will of God, and God himself is the Lord of religion. Religion should not be something that humans can simply alter on a whim for their own convenience. Our faith should be based upon the promises (prophecies) of the holy God. Who is the pastor promised in the Old and New Testaments?
This message has been written to promote a true life of faith for all believers who pursue the hope of the kingdom of heaven.
Over the 6,000 years of God’s history, the messengers (pastors) and followers of God have been persecuted, expelled from their churches or towns, and even murdered by the pastors and followers of the devil for proclaiming the truth. Through the prophecies of the New Testament God, Jesus, and Jesus’ apostles are telling us that this work of persecution will continue at the time of Jesus’ second coming.
If the media of a nation is upright, its nation and citizens will also be upright. No one should plant lies in peoples’ hearts nor should any lies be allowed to remain undisclosed. A public broadcast must not convey lies, and any false broadcasts should be shut down. Any false information that is broadcast via TV or radio must be corrected.
Coming to and working through Jesus according to prophecies, God completely fulfilled the promises he made in the Old Testament (Isa 29:9-14; Hab 2:2-3; Eze 1-3; Jn 19:30).
Although we cannot see God, we believe in him through his word. We believe in God and his word because God's prophecies, which were given at various times over the last 6,000 years, have been and are being fulfilled. The fulfillment has become the evidence that allows us to believe in God.
There are people who truly believe in the words that God and Jesus promised in the New Testament, and there are others who claim to believe while persecuting the true believers (Matt 5:10-12).
There are two kinds of seed: the seed of heaven and the seed of the earth. There are people born in heaven and people born on the earth. The one who comes from above speaks of what he has seen and heard in heaven, but the one who comes from the earth speaks of what he has seen and heard on the earth (Jn 3:31-34). This is how those who are born of the holy spirit are different from those who are born of the flesh.
The New Testament prophesied about the appearance of both persecutors and the savior. Just as the first coming fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies (Jn 19:30), these two groups will act according to the New Testament prophecies when the time of fulfillment comes. How, then, can we distinguish the persecutors from the savior? The Bible says in Matt 7:15-20 that we will be able to recognize them by their fruit (actions).
Religions like Christianity, Buddhism, and Confucianism are similar in that they all attempt to teach the path to heaven. The way to heaven, however, is known only to the one who has been to and come back from heaven. Since the way to heaven is not the way of the world, it is not something that just anyone can know or teach. God sends a messenger in every generation to work on his behalf. A spirit is sent from heaven to earth to teach and lead God’s messenger. Since heaven is where God and God’s kingdom are, believers with their hopes set on heaven must find it no matter where it might be.
The objective of carrying out a life of faith is to attain heaven and eternity. We know that God, Jesus, and their angels are in heaven, but where is heaven? No one in this world knows the kingdom of heaven except the people of Shinchonji Church of Jesus.
Truth comes from God and lies come from the devil (Jn 8:41-47).
A pastor from Shinchonji (SCJ) recently participated in a debate with a certain pastor of another church. This pastor’s identity will not be revealed to avoid embarrassing him. The pastor from SCJ had no idea what the topic of the debate would be prior to his arrival. Instead of talking about biblical explanations or testimonies, however, the other pastor brought only slanderous attacks to the discussion table. This was not a respectful discussion between pastors.
The standard we must use to judge between good and evil is the Bible (Jn 10:35). The tree of life symbolizes a person in whom God dwells (Jn 15:1-8); the tree of the knowledge of good and evil represents a person in whom Satan dwells (Dan 4:20-22).
Repeatedly over the last 6,000 years of biblical history, those who persecute, curse, and murder others are the ones in whom evil spirits dwell; those who bless are the ones in whom God dwells. Physical Israel was persecuted and mistreated by the Egyptians (Exo 1:10-14; Exo 3:9-10).
The following article was written to promote a true life of faith for all churches and all believers. I'd like to reflect on the history of Christianity and on the Christian Council of Korea. I'd also like to ask all Christians around the world to distinguish who is right and who is wrong.
What is the true meaning of Calvinism, which has predestination as one of its core doctrines? What are the true identities of the Presbyterian churches and the Christian Council of Korea, which have been founded on the teachings of Calvinism? There are many similarities between the two.
Hallelujah! Three cheers for Shinchonji, God’s kingdom of the holy spirit!
In the midst of this world of darkness, I have sought out the true light, crying out to the north, south, east, and west. Finally, God has answered my prayers. The place that I was seeking was Shinchonji Church of Jesus, Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (SCJ).
This is an explanation for all churches and believers that they might have a true life of faith.
The heaven and earth that God created are everlasting. The sun, moon, stars, clouds, and winds are also eternal. The living things on the earth, however, have limited life spans. According to the Bible, God created people in his image and likeness (Gen 1:26-27). These people God created are God’s children, but can also be called gods (Psa 82:6; Acts 17:29).
Every one of the world’s religions (e.g. Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Confucianism, etc.) has a text from which it teaches. None of these religions, however, can claim to have mastered their respective scriptures. If people do not know all of their scriptures, they do not have a full understanding. If they do not have a full understanding, they cannot have faith in the true meaning of the text. This is why many who seek the truth have been anticipating the appearance of the “jeong do ryeong” [NB: jeong do ryeong means “spirit of the true path”] and of the “god of heaven.” This “god of heaven,” according to several texts from eastern prophets, is the lord of all religions. Christians, however, await the spirit of truth (Jn 15:26; Jn 16:13). Jeong do ryeong is another name for the spirit of truth. Jesus told us in Rev 2-3 about people in the end times who lack ears to hear the words of the spirit. Even if the spirit of truth comes, then, how can people who do not have ears to hear the words of the spirit hear and properly understand?
Why do we call our church “Shinchonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony?”
“Shinchonji” is a Korean word that means new heaven and new earth. It is a reference to the new heaven and earth in Rev 21. We are the “Church of Jesus” because Jesus is the Lord of our church. We use the name “Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony” because we are the place where the testimony about the fulfillment of the New Testament is being proclaimed. The fact that we are the “Temple” is also important because a temple is a holy place where God dwells.
Just as God the creator carried out his creative work in the spiritual realm, he creates heaven and earth here in the physical world. This is the creation of heaven and earth (Gen 1:1; Rev 21:1).
The command God gave Moses
According to all that I am showing you– the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings – you must make it exactly so. (Ex 25:9)
In 1 Jn 2:18-19, the antichrists are called those who “went out from us.” Jude similarly defines the antichrists as those who failed to keep their positions of authority, but abandoned their own homes to form sects. These people lack the spirit – they belong to the world of flesh. There are certain people who have left the positions to which they had been appointed in Shinchonji (SCJ). They have abandoned their home just like Cain and Balaam (Jude 1:6; Jude 1:11; Jude 1:17-19). They are deceiving (Matt 24:24-25) God’s elect (the members of the 12 tribes).
Since the scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35), everyone will be judged for their deeds according to what is written in the books (Rev 20:12).
When Jesus overcame the world of Physical Israel and chose his twelve disciples, he created twelve tribe leaders who will sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel (Lk 22:28-30). They became the foundation of the holy city of New Jerusalem when they were martyred for the sake of the word (Rev 21:10-20). Revelation prophesies the end of the age in which the sun, moon and stars darken and fall (Rev 6).
The New Testament prophesies about the betrayers, destroyers and savior of the time of the second coming (2 Th 2:1-4). To master the Bible and to acquire the knowledge by which we are saved, all believers must recognize which of these organizations to which they belong.
Believers who have been sealed by the word of God in Shinchonji (SCJ) are proud of their faith and of the fact that they have mastered the Bible, which no one in the world to this point had been able to understand.
Since the Bible tells us that a tree is recognized by its fruit (Matt 7:15-20), everyone will be judged for his or her deeds according to what is written in the books (Rev 20:11-12).
"Above all, you do well if you recognize this: No prophecy of scripture ever comes about by the prophet’s own imagination, for no prophecy was ever borne of human impulse; rather, men carried along by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” (2 Pet 1:20-21)
“… speaking of these things in all his letters. Some things in these letters are hard to understand, things the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they also do to the rest of the scriptures.” (2 Pet 3:16)
God appointed Noah after Adam’s fall. God appointed Moses and Joshua after Ham’s sin destroyed Noah’s world. God made a covenant with Abraham and fulfilled it through Moses by delivering the Israelites from Egypt (Ex 12) and through Joshua by entering Shechem in the promised land of Canaan (Jos 24:25).
Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament 2,000 years ago (Jn 19:30), and he gave us the prophecies of the New Testament in advance so that we may believe when they are fulfilled (Jn 14:29). Jesus also said that no one who adds or takes away from the words of the prophecies will be allowed to enter the kingdom of heaven (Rev 22:18-19). Jesus will completely fulfill the prophecies of the New Testament (Rev 21:6) just as he fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament.
I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. (Jn 14:29)
I testify to the one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book. (Rev 22:18-19)
This article concerns the spiritual condition of the pastors of each generation after they become corrupt, the believers under the authority of those pastors, and the prophets God chose to speak for him.
Jesus will fulfill the New Testament (Rev 21:6) just as he fulfilled the Old Testament (Jn 19:30).
The prophecies in the four gospels are the same as the prophecies of Revelation. Prophecies are given so that we can believe when they are fulfilled (Jn 14:29). How is it, then, that they are fulfilled? Both the Old and New Testament refer to the work of a messenger that must “prepare the way” (Rev 1, Rev 2, Rev 3).
The holy spirit can master the deepest things of heaven (1 Cor 2:10). Our faith must be accompanied by a knowledge of the word. We should speak from the Bible, answering questions using only the Bible.
Since the scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35), everyone’s deeds will be judged according to what is written in the book (Rev 20:12).
Catholicism emerged from Judaism, and Protestantism emerged from Catholicism. Now Protestants have splintered into hundreds if not thousands of denominations that each claim to be orthodox and to have received the holy spirit. Can this be true?
Is the scriptural “the end of the age” the end of religion or the end of all humanity?
The end of the age is the end of believers. The world-wide end will occur one thousand years after Jesus returns. Even as this world-wide end takes place, however, true believers will remain and will receive blessings – this is what the Bible testifies (Rev 20). What has Jesus told Christians about the generations to come?
Since the scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35), a tree must be known by its fruit (Matt 7:15-20). People will also be judged according to what they have done as is recorded in the “books” (Rev 20:12). It was Jesus who fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament that were given through the prophets (Jn 19:30), and it is the one who overcomes (Rev 21:6) who fulfills the prophecies of the New Testament that Jesus gave through his disciples.
Since God is love (1 Jn 4:8,16), we as believers of God, should love one another. The devil, on the other hand, criticizes and persecutes others by telling lies (Acts 7:51-54; Matt 5:10-12). As believers of God, we should not perform the deeds of the devil.
Some people carry out their life of faith without realizing whether they have been born of the seed of God or the seed of the devil. Some people mistakenly think of themselves as believers of God while they criticize and persecute others instead of keeping the Lord's commands.
In the Bible, God promises to reap a harvest and separate the true grain from the weeds. Since the scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35), this harvest must take place. Where does this promised biblical harvest occur? Where does God judge the true grain and the weeds?
To answer these questions, we must know the how the promise was made and how it is fulfilled. God made many promises in the Bible, including the promise with Abraham (Gen 15:13-21). God made a covenant with Moses and his people, but they broke it (Exo 19:5-6; Jer 31:31-21; Heb 8:7-13).
About 2,600 years ago, God promised what would happen in the future through the prophet Jeremiah. This prophecy about planting the offspring of men and the offspring of animals in the house of Israel and of Judah (Jer 31:27) was fulfilled about 600 years later when God came to Jesus. Jesus sowed the seed of God and the Pharisees sowed the seed of the devil (Matt 13). Jesus promised to return for the harvest and he ascended to heaven (Matt 13:30-43). Today, it has been roughly 2,000 years since his ascension.
Since the scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35), everyone’s deeds will be judged according what is written in the book (Rev 20:12). What does it mean that the scriptures cannot be broken? It means that God’s prophecies are always fulfilled (Isa 46:10). The scriptures of God will come true regardless of whether we believe in their fulfillment.
Although people are sinners and have been continually hostile toward God, he loved us sinners so much that he gave us his son (Jn 3:16). The son of God bore the cross on our behalf (Jn 1:29) and now he lives within us (Gal 2:20). Jesus taught us to love our enemies (Matt 5:44) and to forgive others their sins (Matt 6:14-15). People who believe these words of Jesus and put them into practice are true believers. Those who refuse to act upon Jesus’ words are not believers at all.
You people are from your father the devil, and you want to do what your father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I am telling you the truth, you do not believe me. (Jn 8:44-45)
God has been working for the past 6,000 years to reveal the truth to his people. Satan, on the other hand, has been falsely testifying about God’s people to interfere with God’s work (Acts 7:51-54; Acts24:5). People working on behalf of Satan conspired against and killed many righteous people, including Jesus (Matt 23:34-35). How can anyone do such a thing? People who receive evil spirits speak lies to hide their identity and to interfere with the establishment of God’s kingdom on earth.
Since the scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35), trees (i.e. people) can be recognized by their fruit (i.e. actions) (Mt 7:15-20). The very words that Jesus spoke will condemn people at the time of judgment (Jn 12:48).
Since the scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35), everyone’s deeds will be judged according what is written in the book (Rv 20:12).
Physical Israel came out of Egypt and entered the land of Canaan. Once there, they followed King Solomon into the worship of gentile gods. In doing so, the nation was divided in two; the 11 tribes of Israel in the North and the 1 tribe of Judah in the South. Soon after this division, both Judah and Jerusalem were conquered by gentiles (1 Kgs 11; Dt 5; Is 1; Rv 13).
Actions of holy spirits (orthodoxy) and actions of Satan (heresy)
Since the scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35), we know a tree by its fruit (Mt 7:15-20). Anyone who labels the true believers of God’s word as a cult and persecutes them does not really believe in God. They may not realize it, but they are calling God a cult and persecuting Jesus (Jn 15:18-24). Read the following scriptures and think about the group to which you belong. Let’s understand and repent.
How should we refer to the spirits that belong to God and the spirits that belong to Satan? What is the difference between a holy spirit and an evil spirit?
Most Christian denominations believe in the doctrine of the Trinity; they often regard belief in the Trinity as a sign of Christian orthodoxy.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Mt 28:19-20)
Although words like cult, sect, faction, and division appear in both the Old and New Testaments (e.g. Acts 24:5; Acts 24:14; Gal 5:20; Tit 3:10; 2 Pet 2:1), the word "orthodoxy" cannot be found in the Bible. Few people would disagree, however, with the idea that there must be a standard that judges orthodoxy from heresy; a way to determine whether a particular group is orthodox or a cult.
One of the parables of Jesus was about old and new wine, and about old and new wineskins (Lk 5:37-39). At the time of the first coming, the old wine represented Moses’ law and the old wineskins represented the hearts of the priests who taught Moses’ law. The new wine represented the gospel of heaven and the fulfillment of the Old Testament. The new wineskins represented the hearts of Jesus and his disciples who taught the gospel of heaven, not the hearts of the priests of Israel. In addition, there was one more type of wine available at that time—the maddening wine of adultery.
Today, we believers carry out our lives of faith based on the Bible, which is the book of God. Adam and Eve disobeyed God and obeyed the serpent (Satan) instead. This betrayal allowed sin and Satan to enter people; it became the seed of disobedience. Just like Adam himself, the rest of Adam's family also became children of disobedience (Gen 5, 6:1-7).
Everyone’s deeds will be judged according to what is written in the books (Rev 20:12), because the scriptures cannot be broken (Jn 10:35).
Jesus told us that the one who humbles himself will be exalted, and that we should take the least important seat at the wedding banquet (Lk 14:10-11). The morning star, son of the dawn (Isa 14:12-15), tried to set up his throne above the stars of God so that he could rise above even God. The guardian cherub of Eden called himself God (Eze 28). This act of exalting himself instead of God goes against God’s commandments and even opposes God.
Although God is love (1 Jn 4:16), people will still be judged according to what they have done as recorded in the books (Rev 20:12).
God loved the world so much that he has given us his only son (Jn 3:16). That only son, Jesus, befriended sinners and bore the cross for them (Matt 9:10-13).
The Bible says that God will pay back those who say, “Keep to yourself! Don't get near me, for I am holier than you!” (Isa 65:5-6). Additionally, Jesus told us to love our enemies and to feed them when they are hungry (Matt 5; Matt 25:31-46).
