The appointed task is life. If you fulfill your appointed task, you have attained life. If you do not fulfill your appointed task, you have not attained life. Don't you need to fulfill your appointed task to have life?
Revelation 22 describes God’s kingdom, the tree of life, the qualifications for entering the holy city, and the identity of those who remain outside the holy city. Those who are sealed by God and Jesus in Rv 14 (i.e., the twelve tribes) become the tree of life that bears twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. They will see the face of God and will reign with him forever and ever (Rv 22:1-4).
Those who wash their robes with the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city, and those who have their names recorded in the book of life, will be allowed to enter the holy city to be with God and the one who overcomes. The unbelieving, the dogs, and those who love and practice falsehood, however, will remain outside the holy city (Rv 22:14-15).
Jesus has sent his messenger for the sake of the churches to testify about the fulfillment of the entire book of Revelation (Rv 22:16-17).
Those who believe and obey the word, without adding to or taking away from the prophecies recorded in the book of Revelation, will have the right to eat from the tree of life and enter the gates of the holy city (Rv 22:18-19). Those who do not believe in the words of the messenger who comes in the name of Jesus will remain outside the city. Jesus told us these things to warn us and help us to believe, because he knows that people who do not understand and believe in the fulfillment of the New Testament prophecies will be destroyed just like the people who were killed in the time of Noah (Mt 24:38-41).
We, the people of Shinchonji, have fought against and overcome the group of Satan. We have received what God has promised. Shinchonji is testifying about the fulfillment of the New Testament such that anyone who wants to can receive the gift of the water of life free of charge (Rv 22:17). We pray that all people may believe and be saved.
